* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Michigan, including the following counties, Allegan, Kalamazoo and Van Buren.
* WHEN...Until 915 PM EST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. Ponding of water on low-lying roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 303 PM EST, Radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kalamazoo, Portage, Holland, Battle Creek, Allegan, South Haven, Paw Paw, Wayland, Otsego, Plainwell, Vicksburg, Hartford, Galesburg, Mattawan, Lawton, Bangor, Decatur, Parchment, Schoolcraft and Fennville. - Areas most affected will be urban areas around Kalamazoo, Otsego and Plainwell. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
