* WHAT...Urban area, stream, and river flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues, with the potential for isolated rock falls and landslides in some areas.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northern West Virginia, including the following counties, in central West Virginia, Braxton, Clay, Nicholas and Webster. In northern West Virginia, Pocahontas, Randolph and Upshur.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams and rivers continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall and melting snowpack. Isolated rock falls and landslides remain possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 346 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated additional rain moving into the area. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen thus far. As a result of the saturated ground, rock falls and landslides have been reported in some locations. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. The saturated ground has produced conditions ripe for rock falls and landslides on steep slopes around the area. Residents with homes on or at the base of hillsides should be aware of the potential for landslides and watch for trees leaning in unusual orientations, water and mud seepage where not expected, and other signs of potential ground movement.
