The Lubbock Police Department is temporarily closing the intersection of 19th Street and University Avenue to allow protesters at the Tim Cole Memorial Park to safely disperse. There are no threats or violence that prompted this closure. This is to ensure the safety of protesters and motorists in the area. The LPD needs the public to continue as normal, this is for information only.
