Change to Animal Services 
The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety would like to announce a change in service providers for the City of Sunnyvale’s Animal Sheltering Services.
On January 28, 2025, Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) notified the City of Sunnyvale they will no longer be providing animal sheltering services to the City of Sunnyvale, effective February 1, 2025. Since the notification, the city has been working diligently on securing an alternate provider. We are happy to announce we have partnered with County of Santa Clara Animal Services as the new provider for the City of Sunnyvale. This change is effective immediately and ensures uninterrupted sheltering service for the City of Sunnyvale and its residents.
