Deputies Locate Stolen Vehicle and Suspect is Apprehended and Arrested after Pursuit

INCIDENT: P.C. 496(D)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, V.C. 10851(A)- Vehicle Theft, V.C. 2800.2(A)- Evading a Police Officer, P.C. 3056- Violation of Parole
LOCATION: Mojave Drive/Condor Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Jesus Manuel Lucero, 34-year-old Transient of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Thursday, January 16, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the 15500 block of Midtown Drive for reports of a vehicle theft that had occurred 5 minutes prior.
At approximately 1:21 a.m., deputies conducting an area check located a vehicle matching the stolen vehicles description at the intersection of Mojave Drive and Condor Road. Deputies initiated a traffic stop and the driver failed to yield, leading deputies on a vehicle pursuit. The driver of the vehicle drove into a dirt field, eventually exited the vehicle, and lead deputies on a foot pursuit. The driver of the vehicle, Jesus Manuel Lucero was apprehended by deputies and taken into custody without incident.
Jesus Manuel Lucero was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for P.C. 496(D)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, V.C. 10851(A)- Vehicle Theft, V.C. 2800.2(A)- Evading a Police Officer, P.C. 3056- Violation of Parole.
