Gloucester Township Police Media Release- Dwelling Fire in the Shenandoah Neighborhood Displaces Residents 2-4-2025
On Tuesday, February 2, 2025 at approximately 2044 hours, the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to 40 Shenandoah Drive, located in the Shenandoah neighborhood of Gloucester Township, for a dwelling fire. Officers arrived on location to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the residence. One resident was home at the time and fled the residence prior to First Responders arriving.
Firefighters from Chews Landing Fire Department Station 82, Blenheim Fire Department Station 83, Blackwood Fire Department Station 84, Lambs Terrace Fire Department Station 85, Erial Fire Department Station 86, Gloucester Township Squad 88 in Gloucester Township, along with Pine Hill Fire Department, Winslow Fire Department and Whitman Square Fire Department in Washington Township responded to battle the blaze. The Fire Departments successfully brought the fire under control before the fire could spread to neighboring homes. Assistance was also provided by Inspira Basic Life Support and the Cherry Hill Fire Department Rehabilitation Unit.
There were no injuries as a result of this incident. The fire does not appear to be suspicious at this time and it is being investigated by the Camden County Fire Marshals Office.
