* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 10 inches, with highest amounts across the central and western portion of the area where the most persistent snow is expected. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHEN...From 7 AM Friday to 10 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult. Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility and roads can quickly become snow covered, causing very slick conditions. Strong and gusty winds could down trees or tree branches, causing isolated power outages. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
