The evacuation order for low-lying areas along the Russian River from unincorporated Healdsburg at Highway 101 downstream to Jenner has been downgraded to an evacuation warning. This means residents can return home but should be vigilant in case flooding occurs again. We’re expecting more rain in the near future and conditions will change quickly because the soil is saturated.
In Forestville, Rio Vista Road is still closed at Westside Road due to the landslide. Other roads are still closed due to flooding or debris. Do not drive through flooded streets. Continue to observe road closures and use alternate routes. Road closure information for unincorporated areas can be found at www.socopsa.org. Call Transportation and Public Works at (707) 565-5100 to report a road obstruction from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Sheriff’s Office at (707) 565-2121 after hours.
