Mixed precipitation expected tomorrow evening through early Sunday, use caution while driving
Motorists are advised to use caution while driving during tomorrow evening into early morning Sunday as mixed precipitation will create slippery road conditions.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday. Total snow and sleet accumulations up to two inches and ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch are forecasted.
While some sleet can mix in at times, mainly a light snow will exhibit some initial variability on pavements before temps cool off after sunset. Pavements will likely cover not long after as intensity increases for a short time before changing over to mainly sleet in the evening.
Sleet will make for a dense and tough to deal with accumulation that may even necessitate some scraping. Sleet will mix with freezing rain towards midnight before tapering to an intermittent freezing drizzle through the latter half of the night.
