In October 2024, a homicide occurred in the City of Atlanta, and Tyshier Denike was identified as a suspect.

Earlier today at 4 p.m., Atlanta Police Detectives located Tyshier as he entered Clayton County.

Working together, Clayton County Police, Atlanta Police, and the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office surrounded a residence off Grant Road in Ellenwood, where Tyshier planned to hide.

After law enforcement identified themselves, Tyshier jumped out of a back window and attempted to flee over a fence. However, a Clayton County Police Officer was waiting with a K-9 partner.

Clayton’s Air Unit “Falcon”was monitoring from above. 

With no escape, Tyshier was taken into custody following a dog bite. He was treated by Clayton County Fire units and then released to Atlanta Police Department officers for transport back to the City of Atlanta.

Tyshier’s biggest mistake today was entering Clayton County. SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN has sent a clear message: Clayton County will not be a safe haven for criminals.

With interagency partnerships stronger than ever, Chief Kevin Roberts and SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN, will continue making Clayton County “Unsafe for Criminals.” You can’t hide here!
