Special Weather Statement until 07:00PM

A wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow is expected to overspread the area today and tonight. Roads, bridges, and overpasses are likely to become slick, especially this afternoon and evening. Light ice accumulations from a glaze to maybe five hundredths of an inch are possible. Snow accumulations of around half an inch are expected, with amounts up to 1 inch possible by late this evening along and east of Interstate 69. If you are driving, slow down and use caution. Plan for extra time to reach your destination, especially later this afternoon into the evening. If you are going outside, be on guard for icy surfaces. There are winter weather advisories in effect for Indiana and Ohio counties.
