The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area today, Saturday, February 8, 5:00 pm through Sunday, February 9, 11:00 am. Snow is expected to begin this evening and continue overnight into Sunday. A combination of snow and freezing rain is expected. Total snow accumulation is expected to average 3-7 inches in Bergen County. The total accumulation may be higher or lower due to the track of the storm. Travel will become very difficult. Roadways will become hazardous overnight into Sunday. SNOW REMOVAL Saddle Brook municipal ordinance requires all vehicles to be removed from the roadways when snow accumulation is 3 or more inches. Violators are subject to tickets and fines. Saddle Brook municipal ordinance also prohibits snow to be shoveled or blown back onto the roadway. In addition, sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice within 24-hours after the snow has stopped falling. The goal of these ordinances is to keep drivers and pedestrians as safe as possible.
