Suspect Faces Enhanced Charges in December Shooting Investigation 
Today, the Janesville Police Department, in coordination with the Rock County District Attorney’s Office, has formally charged Deonte Foster with First Degree Intentional Homicide and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
These charges arise from a shooting incident that occurred on December 17th, 2024. During the incident in the 300 block of N. High Street, responding officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite immediate medical assistance provided at the scene, the victim was transported to a medical facility, where he recently died from his injuries.
