Flood Warning until 09:00PM Tuesday

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Alabama, including the following counties, in north central Alabama, Cullman, Limestone and Morgan. In northwest Alabama, Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale and Lawrence.

* WHEN...Until 900 PM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 223 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Decatur, Florence, Athens, Hartselle, Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Moulton, Red Bay, Priceville, Trinity, Falkville, Rogersville, Phil Campbell, Killen, Town Creek, Cherokee, Littleville and Lexington. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
