* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Jasper, Lauderdale, Newton, and Smith counties in Mississippi.
* WHEN...Through 6 PM.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - 1 to 2 inches of rain have fallen across the watch area since Tuesday. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected through late this afternoon, which could result in flash flooding.
* AFFECTED AREAS: NEWTON ... LAUDERDALE ... SMITH ... JASPER
