* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest North Carolina, including the following counties, Cherokee and Clay and east Tennessee, including the following counties, Bradley, Loudon, McMinn, Monroe and Polk.

* WHEN...Until 100 AM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 930 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cleveland, Athens, Sweetwater, Madisonville, Andrews, Murphy, Benton, Ducktown, Hayesville, Etowah, Charleston, East Cleveland, Wildwood Lake, South Cleveland, Collegedale, Englewood, Vonore, Tellico Plains, Niota and Calhoun. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
