Wilmington Police have arrested a man on a gun charge.
On February 6, at approximately 10:39 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 300 block of West 7th Street, when they observed a vehicle commit several traffic violations. Police conducted a vehicle stop in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue, and made contact with the driver – 45-year-old Andre Patrick. Following a brief investigation, Patrick was taken into custody without incident, and police recovered a loaded .45 caliber handgun that had previously been reported stolen.
Patrick has been charged with the following offense in addition to traffic violations:
- Receiving a Stolen Firearm
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released after posting $3,100 cash-only bail.
