Snow Emergency to be Lifted at 3:00PM on February 13, 2025
The City of Sheboygan will officially lift the Snow Emergency at 3:00 PM on February 13, 2025. Residents should resume compliance with the city’s standard and winter parking regulations at that time. The Snow Emergency was declared to facilitate efficient snow removal operations and ensure public safety during winter weather conditions.
On November 4, 2024, at the 15th Regular Common Council Meeting, the City of Sheboygan approved updates to the Snow Emergency Ordinance to expand the criteria for declaring Snow Emergencies. These updates allow the city to respond proactively to a broader range of winter weather conditions. The decision to initiate the Snow Emergency at 6:00 AM enabled the Department of Public Works (DPW) snow removal crews to maximize operational efficiency, prioritize public safety, and implement de-icing prevention measures based on the forecasted snow accumulation.
The City of Sheboygan appreciates residents’ cooperation in following Snow Emergency guidelines. Compliance with these regulations has been instrumental in ensuring safer and more accessible roadways, allowing crews to effectively clear snow and mitigate hazardous conditions.
