Crime Alert Bulletin Covering the Week of February 3-9, 2025

When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.  
  
 
Robberies
 
There was one robbery during the past week.
 
On Monday, 02-03-25, at approximately 6:59 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Vira Market & Liquor, located on the 6100 block of Mission Street, on a report of a robbery. The victim stated that she observed two suspects inside the store. The first suspect selected multiple bottles of alcoholic beverages and began to exit. As she attempted to stop this suspect, the second suspect, who was standing near the exit, punched her in the stomach. Both suspects then fled northbound on Mission Street. The first suspect was described as a thin Hispanic male juvenile, approximately 5’6” to 5’8” tall, wearing a black and gray flannel hoodie, black pants, and black shoes. The second suspect was described as a heavyset Hispanic male juvenile, approximately 5’7” to 5’10 tall, wearing a light gray hoodie, gray sweatpants, and white shoes.
 
 
Residential Burglaries
 
There were no residential burglaries during the past week.
 
  
Commercial Burglaries
 
There was one commercial burglary during the past week.
 
On Friday, 02-07-25, at approximately 10:26 p.m., Jamba Juice at Serramonte Center was the victim of a burglary. An unknown suspect entered through the front door and stole cash. The suspect was described as a White or Hispanic male adult with a short buzz cut, wearing a multicolored dark gray shirt, light blue jeans, and dark-colored shoes.
 
 
Vehicle Burglaries   
 
There was one vehicle burglary during the past week.
 

  • Parking lot on the 2600 block of Geneva Avenue—an iPad was taken from a 2017 Ford F-250. The vehicle was left unlocked. Occurred on 02-06-25 at approximately 1:15 a.m.
 
 
Stolen Vehicles 
 
There was one stolen vehicle during the past week. No vehicles were recovered.
 
  • Unit block of 2nd Avenue—a theft of a 2005 Cadillac CT5. Occurred on 02-08-25 between midnight and 8:30 a.m.
 
 
Miscellaneous
 
  • There were 142 cases taken.
 
  • There were 21 domestic disturbance cases reported.
 
  • There were 7 cases involving an involuntary psychiatric hold.
 
  • There were 7 malicious mischief/vandalism cases reported.
 
  • There was 1 case for public intoxication.
 
  • There were 2 hit-and-run collisions reported.
 
  • There were 5 narcotics-related cases taken.

33rd Annual Black History Month Celebration – Kustawi! (Thrive On!)
 
The Department of Recreation Services is hosting the 33rd Annual Black History Month Celebration – Kustawi! (Thrive On!) on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Daly City City Hall, including the Rose Garden, Rotunda, and Council Chambers Foyer (333 90th Street). Sandbags Available While Supplies Last
 
Sandbags are accessible 24/7 at two locations for residents with proof of residency:
- Department of Water & Wastewater Resources (parking lot) - 153 Lake Merced Blvd.  
- Department of Public Works (Corporation Yard entrance) - 798 Niantic Ave.  
 
Limit 10. Please take only what is needed as supplies are limited. When filling sandbags, fill them only halfway, so they are not too heavy to lift and will stack properly.
 
 
San Mateo County Alert System (SMC)
 
Have you signed up to receive these alerts?
