* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Monterey and San Benito county, southern Santa Clara and southeastern Santa Cruz.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 722 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Salinas, Watsonville, Gilroy, Hollister, Seaside, Monterey, Marina, Pacific Grove, Carmel-By-The-Sea, Carmel Valley, Boronda, Spreckels, Prunedale, Castroville, Chualar, Moss Landing, Interlaken, Ridgemark, San Clemente Dam and Del Monte Forest. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
