TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Wintry Mix of Snow and Rain This Weekend May Produce Flooding 
Drivers Are Asked to Observe No Parking on Snow-Covered Roadways and to Avoid Flooded Streets
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. reports that snow and rain are anticipated this weekend, beginning Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Snow is expected to begin after 1 p.m. with possible accumulation of 1” to 3” possible. Rain is expected to begin after 1 a.m. Sunday.
Drivers are asked to avoid traveling along flooded streets and to observe the No Parking on Snow-Covered Roadways signs that have been posted on streets throughout the City of Newark. Motorists are urged to look for the sign pictured below to identify the streets designated for no parking.
The Department of Public Safety is coordinating responses to burglar alarms, flooding conditions, and other weather-related incidents through the combined use of Police, Fire, and Office of Emergency Management personnel. Special attention should be given to unsecured outdoor furniture, awnings, refuse, and building materials.
