HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – February 14, 2025, – On October 23rd, 2023, just before midnight the Hollister Police officers responded to the 1000 block of Monterey Street regarding a shooting victim. The victim was identified as Jacob Arballo, a 45-year-old lifelong Hollister resident. Mr. Arballo died at the scene.
Officers and detectives from the Hollister Police Department conducted a thorough investigation into this homicide, uncovering and collecting additional evidence.
Our Investigations Bureau has worked tirelessly on this case since the homicide occurred. The Detective Bureau executed multiple search warrants and gathered concrete evidence, ultimately building probable cause for an arrest.
On February 6, 2025, the Detective Bureau arrested and booked a 17-year-old juvenile into the San Benito County Youth Services Center for the murder of Jacob Arballo.
The name of the juvenile suspect will not be released at this time.
