Flood Warning until 02:00AM Sunday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following county, Alexander and southeast Missouri, including the following counties, Butler, Mississippi, New Madrid, Scott and Stoddard.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM CST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 801 PM CST, While the heaviest rain has come to an end, flooding continues from earlier heavy rain in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to one half inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sikeston, Dexter, Charleston, East Prairie, Cairo, Bernie, Lilbourn, Miner, Malden, Gideon, Morehouse, Bertrand, Parma, Morley, Matthews, Essex, Qulin, Risco, Canalou and Wyatt.

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
