Flood Warning until 09:45AM Sunday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central, northern, and southern West Virginia, including the following counties, in central West Virginia, Braxton, Clay, Nicholas and Webster. In northern West Virginia, Barbour, Lewis, Pocahontas, Randolph and Upshur. In southern West Virginia, Fayette and Kanawha.

* WHEN...Until 945 AM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 236 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 0.7 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Elkins, Summersville, Richwood, Marlinton, Sutton, Clay, Webster Springs, Cass Scenic Railroad, Greenbank, Belington, Gassaway, Addison (Webster Springs), Mill Creek, Camden-On- gauley, Holly River State Park, Rock Cave, Camden On Gauley, Snowshoe, Craigsville and Birch River. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
