Deputies Conduct Traffic Stop and Arrest Man for Outstanding Warrant and for Possession of Brass Knuckles

SUMMARY:
On Sunday, February 16, 2025, at about 12:05 AM, Deputy A. Fonzi from the Central Station conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford Mustang with no license plates, in violation of California Vehicle Code 5200(a). The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Rudy Serna, was found to have an active misdemeanor warrant. Upon a search of the driver's compartment, a set of metal brass knuckles with an attached folding knife was located on the driver's floorboard, readily accessible from the driver's seat.
Rudy Serna was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center for violation of California Penal Code 21810, Possession of Brass Knuckles.
