Winter Storm Warning until 03:00AM Wednesday

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected, with some sleet and freezing rain early Tuesday. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 12 inches and ice accumulations between a light glaze and a tenth of an inch. Gusty north winds will cause areas of blowing and some drifting of snow. Near blizzard conditions are possible in areas near the Oklahoma Kansas border.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest Arkansas and east central and northeast Oklahoma.

* WHEN...From 6 AM this morning to 3 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute and will impact the Tuesday evening commute.
