Police Seek Help Identifying Aggravated Assault Suspects

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspects in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

At approximately 9 p.m. Police responded to the 900 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard on a call of a sick or injured person. Responding officers were advised that a man who had been stabbed was transported to University Hospital by a Good Samaritan in a personal vehicle. Upon arrival at the hospital, officers learned that the victim was in critical condition and required emergency surgery. Following the surgery, the victim’s condition was upgraded to stable condition.

Detectives investigating this incident reviewed surveillance footage that shows the victim with two males dressed in all black who walked away from the victim, heading north on Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard. Photos of the suspects are provided below.

Director Miranda urges anyone with information regarding the identity of either of these suspects to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS(1-877-695-8477).  All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
