Old Fort Man Charged with Vehicle Break-in and Trespassing
Deputy Ryan Washburn with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Keith Ray Grogan, 55, of Old Fort, with felony Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle, and misdemeanor Second Degree Trespassing. He was given a secured bond of $5,000.
On Monday, February 10, deputies responded to a residence in Old Fort about a breaking-and-entering.
Upon arrival, the suspect, Keith Grogan, was found hiding in a vehicle parked on the property. The victim stated he did not give permission for Grogan to be on his property or enter the vehicle.
Grogan was arrested and transported to the McDowell County Detention Center.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol assisted with the incident.
