Fatal Vehicle Collision
Union City, CA – On Monday, February 17, 2025, Union City Police Officers responded to the area of Alvarado Niles Road and Almaden Boulevard to investigate a major traffic collision. The major traffic collision involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. Upon arrival, Officers located the pedestrian (adult male) and began administering aid. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the collision and has cooperated with the investigation. The driver of the vehicle did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Union City Police Department understands that this is a tragic incident for everyone involved and would like to express our condolences to the families impacted by this incident.
