1. Attempted Homicide (1230) Myrtle Street and Highway 99, Park District
The female victim, 34, and the known suspect got into an argument when the suspect struck her with an object. The victim fled into a tent, and the suspect zipped up the tent and lit it on fire. The victim escaped, but the suspect chased her down and assaulted her. The victim flagged down an officer, who took the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Julian Gomez, 31, for attempted murder, arson, assault, and outstanding warrants.
2. Weapon Arrest (1428) 4700 Block of Kentfield Drive, Valley Oak District
Officers attempted a traffic stop in the area. The occupants threw an unregistered handgun out of the window. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the occupants without incident. ARRESTED: Dymond Jackson, 18, and a female juvenile for weapons violations.
3. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2100) 2100 Block of Kelley Drive, Bear Creek District
The male victim, 51, was outside of an area business when the suspect approached him and demanded his property. When the victim refused, the suspect cut him with an object and fled. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene. SUSPECT: Black male adult.
4. Theft (2256) 1200 Block of West Longview Avenue, Lakeview District
The suspect was observed stealing property from the yard of an area residence. When contacted, the suspect fled from officers, and force had to be used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Artell Silva, 26, for theft, resisting arrest, and warrants.
