Sex Offender Charged with Failure to Register
Detective Billie Brown with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Wendi Danielle Unick, 50, of Nebo, with felony Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. She was given a secured bond of $20,000.
On January 27, Deputy Bradley Biddix spoke with Unick at her residence about a failure to report to the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office in December of 2024, and register as a sex offender. Deputy Biddix advised her to report to the Sheriff’s Office later that afternoon to register, but she did not comply.
Unick was arrested on February 5.
