Emergency Water Conservation Alert – Tonkawa Residents
Due to the recent polar vortex storm, Tonkawa has experienced extreme temperatures, leading many residents to drip faucets to prevent frozen pipes. However, the Tonkawa Water Department has reported numerous water leaks throughout the city, putting stress on our water supply.
We urge residents to conserve water wherever possible while continuing necessary faucet dripping. Please check your properties—including vacant homes and commercial buildings—for leaks or pooling water. If you detect a leak, report it immediately to the Tonkawa Utility Office at (580) 628-2508.
City crews are actively addressing issues, and your cooperation is essential in maintaining our water system. Thank you for your support!
