Advisory

Special Weather Statement until 08:45PM

Light to locally moderate rain showers have changed over to snow showers across portions of northeast and northern Nevada, especially over northern Lander/Eureka and Elko counties. Radar is showing enhanced echos moving to the east and northeast with snow beginning to accumulate over roadways above 5500 feet in elevation. This activity will create slushy and slick driving conditions across I-80 from Carlin to Oasis, as well as US Highway 93 from Wells to Jackpot, SR 225 from Elko to Owyhee, and SR227 between Elko and Spring Creek. Please use caution when driving this evening as rapidly changing weather conditions will cause slick driving conditions and reduced visibility. Visit www.weather.gov/elko for the latest weather information.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHERN ELKO COUNTY ... NORTHERN LANDER COUNTY AND NORTHERN EUREKA COUNTY ... SOUTHWEST ELKO COUNTY ... SOUTH CENTRAL ELKO COUNTY
