Public Safety Director Miranda Announces February Arrests of 18 Individuals with Outstanding Warrants
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. reports that Newark Police arrested 18 individuals in February as part of an ongoing crime reduction strategy to remove those with outstanding warrants from our streets.
“As always, the goal of the Newark Police Division is to ensure the safety of Newark residents and visitors,” Director Miranda said. “The most direct and responsible step toward achieving this goal is to ensure that those individuals who have been identified for committing crimes and issued warrants are taken into custody. I commend the diligence of the Newark Fugitive Apprehension Team, S.W.A.T., and University Hospital Medical Services for their hard work in apprehending these suspects,” he added.
These charges are merely accusations. Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. #newarknj #publicsafety #police #community #partnership #newjersey #cops #tips #CrimeStoppers
