🚗🚦 Public Service Announcement: Understanding California’s AB 413 Daylighting Parking Law 🚦🚗

Safety First! California’s AB 413 is a new law aimed at improving street safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers by prohibiting parking near intersections where visibility is limited.

🔹 What is "Daylighting"?
Daylighting means keeping the area near crosswalks and intersections clear of parked cars to improve visibility for everyone on the road.

🔹 What does AB 413 do?
Prohibits parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk or intersection if no curb extension or bike lane is present.
Reduces blind spots for drivers, helping them see pedestrians and cyclists sooner.
Helps prevent accidents, making roads safer for all.

🔹 Why is this important?
Studies show that blocked sightlines at intersections increase the risk of crashes. By keeping these areas clear, AB 413 helps reduce collisions and save lives.

🚦 What You Need to Do:
✅ Pay attention to new no-parking zones near crosswalks and intersections.
✅ Do not park within 20 feet of an intersection unless otherwise marked.
✅ Help spread the word to make our streets safer for everyone!
