Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges following an investigation.
Beginning in February, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 1900 block of West 7th Street. On February 19, at approximately 9:42 a.m., police executed a search warrant in that block and took 43-year-old Elijah Ramos into custody without incident. Police recovered 28 grams of crack cocaine, 29.3 grams of cocaine, and $3,743.
Ramos has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity – Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity – Two Counts
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $120,000 cash-only bail.
