Bloomington Man Arrested for Elder Abuse and Vandalism

LOCATION: 18300 block of Valley Boulevard, Bloomington
VICTIM(S): Two Adult Females
SUSPECT(S): Ubaldo Gonzalez Romero, a 53-year-old Male Resident of Bloomington
SUMMARY: On Saturday, February 22, 2025, at about 9:42 a.m., Fontana deputies responded to a disturbance in the 18300 block of Valley Boulevard, Bloomington. The reporting party reported the suspect, later identified as Ubaldo Gonzalez Romero, a 53-year-old male resident of Bloomington, broke the windows of multiple residences.
Upon arrival, deputies confirmed Romero used an object and broke the windows of multiple residences. The damage was valued at several thousand dollars. Both victims were over the age of 65 and deputies learned one of the victims was previously victimized by Romero. In 2023, Romero set their residence on fire and was prosecuted for that incident. At the conclusion of the investigation, Romero was arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center for vandalism and elder abuse. He was held in custody in lieu of $30,000 bail.
