Deputies Arrest a Man on Active Parole after He Provides a False Name and Resists Arrest

INCIDENT: Parole Violation, Resist Arrest, False Identification to Peace Officer, Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
LOCATION: 10800 block of Cedar Avenue, Bloomington
SUSPECT: Andrew Toribio, a 29-year-old Unhoused Male who Frequents Victorville
SUMMARY: On Saturday, February 22, 2025, at about 11:21 a.m., Fontana deputies responded to a disturbance in the 10800 block of Cedar Avenue, Bloomington. The reporting party reported someone was screaming in the area.
Deputies contacted Andrew Toribio and he provided a false name. Toribio resisted arrest and refused to comply with the deputy's orders. Additional deputies responded and Toribio was arrested without further incident. He was found to be on parole for residential robbery in Victorville and was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Toribio was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center where he was held without bail for violating the terms of his parole.
