PATH station to reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 25
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is scheduled to reopen the Hoboken PATH terminal at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
Residents are reminded that once PATH service resumes in Hoboken, travel alternatives added and/or changed during the station closure will come to an end. This includes supplemental PATH, Light Rail, and NJ Transit bus service, and PATH shuttle buses between stations in Hoboken and Jersey City. The special $3 fare on NY Waterway ferries ends tonight at 11:59 p.m.
NY Waterway has announced it will increase morning weekday service from Hoboken 14th Street to Brookfield Place starting tomorrow, Feb. 25, by adding a third ferry. This is a result of heightened consumer demand during the PATH station closure and will provide commuters with increased frequency. NY Waterway is also increasing service between Port Imperial and Brookfield Place. Read more here: https://www.nywaterway.com/AdvisoriesAlerts.aspx.
The closure was part of the Port Authority’s two-year, $430 million dollar PATH Forward Program to upgrade the PATH system and make critical safety repairs and reliability improvements. Read more about the PATH Forward Program here: https://www.panynj.gov/path/en/path-forward.html
