On Saturday, February 22, 2025, at approximately 6:25 p.m., the Fremont Police Department was notified by the Fremont Unified School District that a bomb threat was received via email by staff members at Warm Springs Elementary School. Fremont PD officers and K-9 Nala, who is trained in explosive material detection, searched the school and nothing suspicious was found. Warm Springs Elementary School will remain open, and there will be an additional police presence at the school throughout the day. The Fremont Police Department is currently investigating the threat. Based on initial investigative leads, the e-mail’s origin is not local and does not appear credible.
