Stolen Vehicle Occupied by Multiple Teens Leads Deputies on High Speed Pursuit

SUSPECT: 16-year-old male juvenile, resident of Los Angeles
15-year-old male juvenile, resident Plascencia
16-year-old male juvenile, resident of West Covina
14-year-old male juvenile, resident of Arcadia
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 10:00am, Deputy Villasenor attempted to stop the driver of a white Toyota Camry who swerved intentionally into oncoming traffic attempting to hit him head on.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as a 14-year-old male juvenile, failed to yield and continued at speeds of 110 through the city of Victorville and onto the northbound 15 Freeway. The pursuit continued north until it reached Barstow where the suspects blew the vehicle transmission and crashed.
Four juveniles inside the vehicle were taken into custody. The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of West Covina. The 14-year-old driver of the vehicle, and the 15-year-old who stole the vehicle from a family member, were booked at the High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center. The other two suspects were released into the custody of their parents. Three of the juveniles were documented gang members.
