...The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Nevada... Owyhee River near Mountain City affecting Elko County. .Warm temperatures will melt snowpack and increase river flows. For the Owyhee River...including Wildhorse Dam, Wildhorse, Mountain City...elevated river levels are forecast.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is expected.

* WHERE...Owyhee River near Mountain City.

* WHEN...From this evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Minor flooding along the river channel.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:55 PM PST Monday the stage was 7.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Warm temperatures has accelerated snowmelt in northern Nevada. This has led to a rapid rise in the Owyhee River since Monday afternoon. - Forecast...The river is expected to remain below flood stage with a maximum value of 7.2 feet late this evening, falling through Saturday morning. - Action stage is 7.0 feet. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
