Animal Control Incident Narrative
Yesterday, the Sonora Police Department Animal Control responded to reports of a white dog running at large in the area of Poplar and Water Street. Animal Control officers attempted to capture the dog, but it displayed signs of aggression. A notice was posted on the Sonora Police Department Animal Control Facebook page in hopes that the owner would recognize their pet and retrieve it.
With the assistance of concerned citizens, the dog was successfully located and is now in the care of the Sonora Police Department Animal Control. We are asking the owner to contact the Sonora Police Department at 325-387-3888 as soon as possible to reclaim their pet.
We want to remind all pet owners of their responsibility to properly contain and control their animals. Ensuring pets are secured not only keeps them safe but also helps prevent potential risks to the community.
Please do the responsible thing and keep your pets properly contained and retrieve them promptly if they go missing.
