Marion, NC – Emergency crews are actively working to contain a wildfire burning near the 1300 block of Armstrong Creek Rd. off NC 226 A north of Marion. There are no evacuation orders at this time. Multiple agencies are on the scene including Woodlawn Fire Department, Hankins Fire Department, Nebo Fire Department, Glenwood Fire Department, McDowell EMS, McDowell County Emergency Management, NC Forest Service, and the US Forest Service.
Additional updates will be sent out once new information becomes available. Please report all wildfires to 911.
