Police request public assistance in connection with attempted kidnapping incident: 
Wilmington Police are investigating a report of an attempted kidnapping incident, and are asking for the assistance of the public.
On February 24 at approximately 6:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2900 block of North Harrison Street in reference to a report of an attempted kidnapping involving a 10-year-old female victim. The suspect fled from the area after being bitten by the victim’s dog, and the victim was not injured.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’5”-5’9”, with a thin build, wearing all black and a face covering. He was last seen fleeing towards North Van Buren Street.
This incident is under investigation by the WPD Criminal Investigations Division, and anyone with information – including potential video surveillance that might have captured the incident or the suspect in the area – is encouraged to contact Detective Sergeant Ron Mullin at 302-824-3751 or ron.mullin@cj.state.de.us.
Police also encourage the public to immediately report any suspicious activity.
