Wilmington Police arrest two men in connection to attempted armed robbery:
Wilmington Police have arrested two men in connection to an attempted armed robbery following an investigation.
On November 27, 2024, at approximately 10:16 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 3400 block of North Broom Street, in reference to an attempted armed robbery. The case was assigned to Detective Justin Wilkers of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Wilkers identified 18-year-old Jahkai Gray, and 21-year-old Jerome Perkins as suspects and obtained warrants for their arrest. On December 26, 2024, Gray was taken into custody without incident. On February 21, Perkins was taken into custody without incident.
Gray has been charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Robbery (First Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
Perkins has been charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Robbery (First Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
