The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the Department of General Services (DGS) are pleased to report that the construction phase of the Duke Ellington Field project is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. This construction project will include improvements to the two existing field houses (approximately 3,000 SF), an upgraded running track, a renovated field, new field lights, and soil stabilization measures to mitigate ongoing soil erosion that currently impacts the field's programmed space.
