Two Arrested After Child Custody Exchange Leads to Victim being Held Against Her Will and Assaulted
DATE/TIME: February 25, 2025 / 2:14 p.m.
INCIDENT: Assault with a Firearm on a Person, Kidnapping, Corporal Injury on a Spouse, Threatening Crime with Intent to Terrorize, Conspiracy to Commit Murder
LOCATION: 8000 block of C Avenue, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Raymond Ayon, 26-year-old, resident of San Diego
Alyssa McHenry, 26-year-old, resident of San Diego
VICTIM(S): Adult Female
SUMMARY: On February 25, 2025, at approximately 2:14 p.m., deputies with the Hesperia Police Department responded to the 8000 block of C Avenue in the city of Hesperia, reference a reported kidnapping. Upon deputies arrival, it was learned during a child custody exchange the victim was kidnapped and assaulted with a firearm. The suspect refused to allow the victim out of the vehicle upon several requests. The victim eventually exited the vehicle while the vehicle was in motion, causing the victim to sustain minor injuries. The suspect’s fled the location prior to deputies arrival.
During the investigation, deputies located evidence of Ayon and McHenry conspiring to murder the victim. With the assistance of an outside agency, the suspect’s identified as Raymond Ayon 26-year-old resident of San Diego and Alyssa McHenry 26-year-old resident of San Diego, were apprehended in San Diego and taken into custody.
Ayon and McHenry were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center. McHenry was charged with PC 245(a)(1)- Assault with a Firearm on a Person and PC 182(a)(1)- Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Ayon was charged with PC 245(a)(1)- Assault with a Firearm on a Person, PC 182(a)(1)- Conspiracy to Commit Murder, PC207-Kidnapping, PC273.5(a) Corporal Injury on a Spouse and PC422- Threatening Crime with Intent to Terrorize.
