WATER EMERGENCY UPDATE – EVENING BRIEFING (02/27/2025) 

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we continue working toward full water restoration. At this time, there are no significant updates or changes from this morning’s briefing but we wanted to issue a briefing, nonetheless. 

CURRENT SYSTEM STATUS 

• Water crews continued investigating leaks and confirmed that our system is building pressure as expected. 

• Our team is monitoring progress closely and making necessary adjustments to stabilize the system. 

CRITICAL REMINDER: DO NOT USE YOUR WATER YET 

• We understand it is tempting to turn on your faucets, even if you intend to boil the water. 

• However, using water at this stage slows down our ability to build pressure and extend the system. 

• If we cannot build pressure as planned, we cannot predict when we will reach our pressurization goal. 

WHY PRESSURIZATION IS IMPORTANT 

• Stabilizes the water system to prevent further issues. 

• Allows us to control and repair leaks effectively. 

• Ensures water reaches all areas of the system before restoration begins. 

• Most importantly, reaching our pressurization goal is the only way we can begin water sample testing.  

• Testing is required to lift the boil order. 

NEXT STEPS 

• While some residents may see water in their lines, we have not started our official restoration process. 

• The City will provide a mapping schedule to notify residents when their area can begin turning on faucets. 

• We hope to issue this schedule in the next day or so, but we must first reach our pressure goals.
