The North Brunswick Township Office of Emergency Management advises residents that the Middlesex County Office of Health Services is monitoring H5N1 Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) along with state agencies.
 
We want to stress that there are currently no human cases in New Jersey but encourage residents to be aware of the situation and take simple precautions to stay safe.
 
Please do not touch sick or dead birds. Contact the appropriate authorities if you encounter sick or dead wildlife. Use gloves and masks while handling birds or animals if necessary.
